Truth Week 5
Devil cannot Touch
The truth can hurt or help. It has transcended and transformed lives because reality is threaded with the truth. I began this blog connecting truth with freedom. No one can hold you hostage, especially when the truth is illuminated. No one can blackmail, belittle, or beat you with the prospects of the truth coming out.
The enemy wants to pervert the truth to place us in bondage. A foe can only deter you from excelling when the truth is being manipulated to serve an interest and not integrity. The devil wants to use the truth in the form of fear so we can be toyed with and silenced. God seeks to use the truth to liberate His children from the snares of the world. Realize that James 4:7 submitting to God relinquishes the grasp of Satan and any other bully attempting to use the truth as a tool to exploit people as opposed to delivering people from being abused by the devil.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Thus, having Him in your heart frees you from the foolishness of this world. Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world. Power is in the Creator of the heavens and earth. Faith and obedience in Him birth the wherewithal to stand against the wiles of the devil. God’s protection provides courage and fortitude to stand against the ungodly and corruption in the world.
2 Timothy declares, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” The truth makes us free; thus, our surroundings, strangers, and schemes will not have authority over a true believer. I can firmly say this because Christ is not only the truth. He is also love. Romans 8:38-39 confirms, “38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Whatever you do, seek the truth. Wherever you go, share the truth. Whoever you are, be the truth in Christ. By being someone who embraces the truth, we have no fear, faults, or failures because our Savior is the way, the truth, and the life.
When we seek the truth, we can safeguard our faith, families, and our fate. Sometimes people will try to hide behind deception. However, no one can hide what God wants for you. That is why we fear not him who can destroy the body only. But fear him who can destroy the body and the soul and cast both of them in the fire. Bullies are irritating, but they are not in control. Wounds will heal, and battles will end. But His peace surpasses all understanding and will forever power us in Christ.
We say we are close to Him, so we should get to know Him through prayer, praise, worship, reading, and studying. Our enemies do not stand a chance against us as we grow closer to Him and know more about Him. If God is for us, who in this world can be against us? The truth is that those who live in Christ will have eternal life and be blessed beyond measure.
Let’s end this blog with Matthew 5:16. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” The truth is we live, move, and have our being solely to serve Jesus Christ. By being in the family of God, no good thing He withholds from them who walk uprightly. Truth- we ain’t never scared. We are saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
